At Redemption Church we believe that God has blessed our city with different communities, and God calls the church to follow Jesus and be in loving relationship with neighbors from other cultures.

Neighbors Table focuses on bridging culture and loving the other neighbors in our community that we may forget, overlook, mistreat, or marginalize. This experience is similar to a 1-day trip through Phoenix. Teaching time will focus specifically on God’s heart for all people, and time out in the community will be spend around the table with diverse groups that we normally may not have relationship with (Muslims, Refugees, Global Churches, People Experiencing Homelessness, etc).

People who attend Neighbors Table on March 28th, 2015 will…

Study the Great Commandment (Luke 10) in community, have individual time of reflection, enjoy corporate prayer, and take steps toward obeying God’s Word.
Be shaped by the mission of God and learn His heart for all peoples.
Understand culture and how to move toward our neighbors with compassion.
Walk through our city and learn the stories of our homeless neighbors, the brokenness that brought them to where they are, and how best to love this community.
Sit with Muslim refugees and hear about their journey to the U.S., learn a new language, and how to be a faithful witness to Muslims in a time of ISIL.
Feast with a Latino church and be moved by what God is doing among the Latin American church locally, and how to be a partner with the global church in blessing the nations.
