At Redemption Church we believe that God has blessed our city with different communities and cultures, and God calls the church  to follow Jesus and be in loving relationship with those not like us.

Neighbors Table focuses on bridging culture and loving the other neighbors in our community that we may forget, overlook, mistreat, or marginalize. This is a half day event that takes place in the classroom and out in the community. Teaching time will focus specifically on God’s heart for all people, and time out in the community will be spent in prayer and around the table with diverse groups that we normally may not have relationship with (Muslims, Refugees, Global Churches, People Experiencing Homelessness, etc).

People who attend Neighbors Table  on November 19th, 2016 will:

  • Study the Great Commandment (Luke 10) in community, have individual time of reflection, corporate worship and prayer, and take steps toward obeying God’s Word.

  • Be shaped by God’s love for us and learn His love for all peoples.

  • Understand culture and how to move toward our neighbors with compassion.

  • Walk through Scottsdale and learn the American Native story, the beauty and brokenness that surround this community, and how we move toward them in love.

  • Break bread with Muslims at the local Mosque, learn how to communicate the Gospel with grace and truth,  and how to be peacemakers in a time of ISIS.
